As my title states it is my third day at Seaside, and overall the trip has been very relaxing:-)
We leave this Saturday I believe, and I'll definitely be happy to be home, in my own bed, with my dog but Seaside definitely has a charm that I'll remember.
It's been really relaxing and that's what's different about most of my family trips.
Don't get me wrong, I have fun on family trips, it's just normally every day is planned out from start to finish with an agenda/itinerary each day, and while my parents are fun people, it gets exhausting
And sometimes my idea of a vacation is honestly watching Pretty Little Liars over from season 1 (which is exactly what I've been doing)
Because we have no agenda I have been able to enjoy myself at my own pace
My days have basically been: wake up whenever (anytime between 10:30 and 11:30)
Eat (today I ate with my dad, but every other day it's been with my brother)
Swim/lay on a chair under an umbrella and read/swim/repeat
Go back to the house and shower
Watch PLL until fam wants to go eat dinner
Maybe go out walking/eat dessert/maybe come back home and watch more PLL and blog while fam are out walking/eating dessert
Play a game with fam (particularly Cranium/Balderdash)
Sleep
Wake up
Repeat
I'll write more as the week goes in but here are a couple favorites:
I Had a Meltdown on 30A (yummy grilled cheese/sandwich food truck)
Pickles (I personally like it but my dad said it was overrated, lol)
V Seagrove (very expen$ive)
Taco Bar (tacos were fresh but my fave part is that if you buy a drink, it's free refills all day:-))
Red Bar (even though they have a very small specific menu, the food is fabulous - the manicotti is amazing - my brother was basically drooling over mine and I gave him my leftovers - he said he wished he had gotten that instead haha)

30 Day Challenge - Day 26: If you had $1,000,000 to spend, how would you spend it?
Well, as a 21 year old in college, I would spend it on a house after I got out of college, and the save up for a rainy day. Idk, of course I would spend a lot of it on food, furnishing the house, and clothes, but I can't think of a really big purchase to be honest. Idk. The only real big purchase I could think of is a nice house
30 Day Challenge - Day 25: A person who fascinates you & why.
Alison DiLaurentis from Pretty Little Liars and Margo Roth Spiegalman from Paper Towns bc they are both mysterious:-)
30 Day Challenge - Day 24: Your favorite movie & what is it about?
Oh gosh, my all time favorite movie...??
That's really really hard to answer because it seems I have monthly favorites.
Okay. This is gonna be embarrassing but a movie I really can never get tired of:
Ironically enough
*drumroll*
Grace Unplugged hahahahahha
I don't know why but I just love this coming of age movie.
Basically it's about this girl, Grace who is the daughter of a one hit wonder turned music pastor.
One day his old manager comes back to say that his one hit wonder has made a comeback and Sapphire Music (record company) wants to give him a job as long as he plays Misunderstood at every concert, but Johnny declines
So Grace covers Misunderstood instead and gets flown out to LA to live out what she thought was her dream (being a popstar and being famous)
But she doesn't realize the stress and pain that goes into stardom as Johnny said, "Oh you are not ready for this"
She eventually meets a guy named Quentin who is interning at Sapphire Music and he helps her come to the realization (over the course of the movie) that her dad isn't the bad guy, and that it isn't her against the world, but instead he thinks that she is fighting God
Grace bails from Hollywood and returns back home to Alabama and sings a heartfelt song titled "All I've ever needed" and it makes me cry my eyes out every time
Even though I did not grow up in a religious household, the father daughter dynamic is very realistic and the denouement at the end is so so touching
Plus the soundtrack, especially Misunderstood and All I've ever needed, is actually really good:-)

Thoughts my brother thinks I have
"So me and my stupid family are at stupidside, oops I mean Seaside
Today it was so muggy and I was so hot and I blamed it on my family so I left because you know what, they're stupid and I'm hot
I had a pineapple mojitio tonight at dinner & I BARELY drank it in spite of my family (stupid)
It's my way at getting back at society
Less resources for the rest of the world
It only takes a snowflake to start an avalanche & I plan on being that snowflake:-)
We then went shopping and I aimlessly toiled around the stupid store
My mom wanted a hat so I told her to pick the ugly one so she would be ridiculed by her peers.
I then decided to get a hat of my own, but this hat needed to be delicious in every way
Not too casual not too formal but not too stupid
Apparently I'm now a "southern hot mess:-)"
I got this to symbolize how it was and how stupid my family is.
Then we went to my stupid neighbors big stupid house
They had 6 beds in one room, which was stupid
I went upstairs to challenge my feeble mind in trivia crack but my stupid brother kept me giving stupid (wrong) answers
Eventually my opponents grew weary and I ran out of pigs to slaughter.
I then had to resort to listening to my stupid family talk to my neighbors about stupid things like family and jobs
Finally we escaped that mental asylum and meandered the streets of Stupidside (oops I mean Seaside)
I took my 2nd shower to once again use up resources of this stupid earth to symbolize how hot it was thanks to my stupid family
Finally I come to end this dreadful day and lay my head to this pillow secretly hoping to wake up somewhere else less stupid"
